چکیده

هدف: هدف این مقاله، شناسایی تعریف‌های ارائه شده دربارۀ سند، سنجش کیفی دایرۀ کاربرد هر یک از آن‌ها، و بررسی امکان ارائۀ تعریفی جامع و مانع برای سند، جدای از تعریف تخصصی و حوزۀ کاربرد هر واژه است. بحث دربارۀ تعریف سند از نظر آرشیو، هدف دیگر این بررسی است.
روش/ رویکرد پژوهش: روش پژوهش، کتابخانه‌ای است. در این مقاله، منابع مرتبط، شناسایی و تعریف‌های ذکر شده برای سند، گردآوری و دسته‌بندی شده و مورد بررسی انتقادی قرار گرفته‌اند. در این روش، بررسی کیفی تعریف‌ها و نیز گسترۀ شمول آن‌ها مدنظر است.
یافته‌ها: یافته‌های پژوهش نشان می‌دهد که واژۀ سند در سدۀ اخیر، علاوه بر کاربرد عام، با تغییراتی در ادبیات اداری کشورمان و رشته‌های مختلف دانش به کار رفته و این امر، به کاربردهای گوناگون واژۀ سند منجر شد که گاه اختلاف‌هایی را در تفهیم و تفاهم بین کاربران متفاوت پدید آورده است. هنگامی که معانی تخصصی واژۀ سند مورد توجه قرار می‌گیرد، این چندگانگی و تفاوت در تعریف، خود را بیشتر می‌نمایاند.
محدودیت‌های پژوهش: در تحقیقات قبلی دربارۀ سندشناسی و سندپژوهی، تعریف سند به طور مستقل و همه‌جانبه مورد بحث و بررسی قرار نگرفته و حتی برخی منابع مورد استناد واقع نشده و ناشناس مانده است. مطالب مورد نیاز این پژوهش، از آثار مربوط به رشته‌های متعدد از جمله آرشیو، کتابداری، علوم اداری، تجارت، حقوق، علوم سیاسی، تاریخ و مردم‌شناسی اخذ گردیده است.
ارزش پژوهش: در مقالۀ حاضر، واژۀ سند و کاربرد آن در رشته‌های گوناگون دانش (به زبان فارسی) مورد بحث قرار گرفته و ضمن شناسایی تعریف‌های مختلف، امکان استفادۀ بین‌رشته‌ای این تعریف‌ها بررسی شده؛ در حالی که قبلا با این رویکرد و با این وسعت به موضوع پرداخته نشده است. این مقاله، که با حوزۀ معناشناسی مرتبط است، به پژوهشگران تحقیقات مشابه، برای شناسایی گونه‌های سند و تعریف انواع مواد و منابع آرشیوی کمک می‌کند.

The Defenition of "Record" from Different Perspectives

Aim: The aim of this paper is to identify the definitions provided for the word "record", to qualitatively evaluate the usage domain of each definition and to study the possibility for offering a comprehensive definition for "record", regardless of the special definition and usage domain of each word. The other objective of this research is to discuss the definition of "record" from the viewpoint of archives.
Methodology/Approach: This research uses the library method. In this article, relevant resources are identified and the definitions provided for records are collected, categorized and critically studied. In this method, the definitions and their range of application are qualitative studied.
Findings: the findings of this research show that the word "record", in addition to its general meaning, has been used in the administrative literature of Iran and in different disciplines. This has caused this word to have various applications and therefore sometimes there have been some misunderstandings between different users. When the special meanings of "record" are intended, this differences and varieties in definitions are more evident.
Limitations: in previous research on the study of records, the definition of record has not been discussed independently and comprehensively. As indicated in its references, in this research the required information was collected from resources of various disciplines including archival studies, library and information science, administrative science, commerce, law, politics, history and anthropology.
Value: in the present paper, the word "record" and its application in different disciplines of knowledge (in Persian) are discussed. In addition to identifying different definitions, the possibility for the interdisciplinary use of these definitions is studied. This is while this issue has not yet been studied with this approach and this broadness. This paper, which is related to the field of semantics, will help researchers in further studies in identifying types of records and defining different archival material and resources.
