From the beginning of human life, there has been a deep reverence for sky and celestial bodies, because most of the people have believed that the positions of (he s(ars and the movements of the planets influence human affairs and personalities, In (he past, astrology was very important at the kings’ courts, of which the Iranian Rulers were not excepted. Using a horoscope, astrologers study the signs of the zodiac to predict the future.This article presents a record about the prediction of Nasereddin Shah’s reign by Mohammad Vali Qajar, Fath Ali Shah’s third son. It also contains an instance of practising astrology in Sasonian period.
