Abstract

Purpose: To examine the structure and contents of a number of holy shrines custodianship decrees with controversial source of issuance.
Method and Research Design: Documentary method was employed for analysis.
 Findings and Conclusion: Due to the monarchy's inferior status within the Shiite jurisprudence, Qajar monarchies were able to enforce they judiciary power with the permission of Ulama. However, as such decrees were sealed by the monarchy, they are considered royal decrees.
