Abstract

Purpose: Bazaaries (Persian: بازاری ), the traditional wealthy merchants of bazaars were not favorured by the economic policies of the government, especially in the later years of Shah reign. This paper discusses such policies and their impact on turning away from supporting the regime.  
Method and Research Design: Data has been collected from archival records.
 Findings and Conclusion: Discrimination against Bazaaries, intervention of the government agencies in the bazaar, involvement of the government in economic activities, economic crisis, modernization of the national economy, industrial development plans were the reasons resulted in the dissatisfaction among Bazaaries.
