Abstract

Although there are valuable research sources such as manuscripts and itineraries from the Safavid era, which is one of the most important dynasties of Iran, there is a lack of records, which are key sources for historical research. These records have mostly been destroyed; therefore, most of the present studies are based on other historical sources. Due to lack of sources in the administrative, economical, and social fields, only a small amount of research has been done. The Safavid era records in the central library of Astane Ghods are considered to be among the most valuable and most unique records from this era. They have great informational value in social, economic, religious, and political issues. The following study is about “Soyurghal” which is one of the important financial terms in the Safavid era. After a brief study of previous research, the Information in the Soyurghal records of the Astane Ghodse Razavi record center has been classified according to content and importance of subject.
