Abstract

Darolshafa is the name of a medical center at the vicinity of the Holy shrine of Ali ibn Moosa al-Reza, the eighth Imam of the Shiites, which is located in Mash’had. In this article, in order to introduce Darolshafa and also to introduce an example of the records of medicinal plants – which reflect the traditional medical practices of that era – the daily records of Darolshafa, which discuss the expenditures over seven days at the center are studied. After considering the surface structure of the records, some aspects of the services and the structure of Darolshafa are reviewed by analyzing their content.
