Abstract

Purpose: The aim of this research is designing a strategic management model based on organizational balance for the National Archives of Iran.
Method and Research Design: The research is applied in purpose, exploratory in nature, and employs a mixed-method (qualitative–quantitative) design. In data gathering, it is descriptive-correlational in design. The qualitative sample consisted of 15 academic and professional managerial experts, selected according to theoretical saturation. In the quantitative phase, a sample of 320 experts of the National Library and Archives of Iran was selected using stratified random cluster sampling. Thematic analysis was used to extract and classify the model in terms of basic, organizing, and global themes derived from interviews and literature, coded using MAXQDA 2018 software in the qualitative stage. Quantitative data were analyzed using one-sample t-tests, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and structural equation modeling (SEM) with the assistance of SPSS v21, Smart PLS v2, and LISREL v8 software.
Findings and Conclusion: Qualitative analysis identified 68 indicators, 18 components, and 5 large dimensions of balanced strategic management: Innovation, Interactive Culture, Business System Re-creation, Knowledge Management, and Leadership. The model developed demonstrates an interactive cycle with Innovation at the hub and as a priority. Among the 18 components, "Processes," "Knowledge Dissemination," "Economic and Profitability Understanding," "Two-Way Learning," and "Entrepreneurial Processes" were priorities within their respective dimensions. The proposed model is a balanced, circular strategic management pattern in the National Archives of Iran, with an innovation priority and interdependence of the principal organizational dimensions.
