Mosaddegh, Toude party and laborers

Abstract

Iran’s National Movement, led by Dr. Mohammad Mosaddegh, and Ayatollah Seyyed Abul- ghasem Kashani, which was considered to cut Britain's hands from Iran’s oil resources, and to achieve independence, mobilized all national groups and parties to help the Movement gain its objectives. Among the said groups, Toude party and its labour union, namely Central Unity Coun­cil, chose a different way and left the apparent coalition. The article attempts to explain Toude party and “ C.U.S “ ‘s role in a challenge, emerged between National Government and Oil Com­pany, and tell how Toude took advantage of the labourers Ito neutralize National Movement.
