Methodology / Approach: This study has clarified the issue through historical descriptive method on the basis of library resources. Conclusions: According to the findings of this study, throughout the Islamic era of Iran’s history the entity of “vizierate”, in spite of the ups and downs in the political arena, has had a dominant position. Also, in Islamic political thought, the position of “vizierate” and the role of the “vizier” have always been highlighted. The issue has broken new ground on a discourse in Islamic resources which could be called “vizierate-centered discourse”. The most important factors of “vizierate-centered discourse” are “the wisdom of statecraft” and “the art of writing”.
