This article, which has been written after the publication of the eight-volume collection of Allameh Ghazvini’s personal notes, reviews the academic life of Mohammad Ghazvini; his education, instructors, activities in the field of codicology, editing texts, and research on early Islamic resources. It also reviews his academic activities, in and outside Iran, in the field of Iranian-Islamic resources. His Iranian and foreign friends and colleagues, and some of his attitudes towards the main scholars of Farsi language and literature are also explored.
