Was Bahrain itself an "issue" or was it merely seen as a "tool" to gain concessions from Britain?Method and Research Design: Data for this paper is obtained from archival documents held at the British Foreign Office. Findings and Conclusion: The issue of Bahrain and its separation from Iran was an important issue between Iran and Britain. The British hoped for a solution increased with Reza Shah reconciliatory approach to the problem. However, the negotiation lasted more than five years. Expecting the support of the Soviet Union and the League of Nations in vain, the talks failed to resolve the issue. The British remained indifferent to various plans offered by Abdolhossein Teymourtash, Reza Shah's representative. Findings show that with the strong resistance of the United Kingdom in recognizing Iran's sovereignty over Bahrain and the British actions to gain oil concessions (revision of the Darcy contract), finally, Iran's policy tended to gain concessions against the transfer of Bahrain.}, keywords = {Bahrain,Reza Shah Pahlavi (1925-1941),Britain,Timurtash,Abdolhussein,Persian Gulf}, title_fa = {بحرین در مذاکرات رضاشاه و بریتانیا (براساس اسناد وزارت خارجۀ انگلستان)}, abstract_fa = {هدف: مسئلۀ بحرین و جدایی آن از ایران ازجمله مهم‌ترین مسائل معوقۀ بین ایران و انگلستان بود که با روی‌کارآمدن رضاشاه با کمک عناصر انگلیسی، امید انگلستان برای حل‌وفصل این مسئله نیز بیشتر شد؛ ولی دولت ایران برای حل این مسائل با تکیه بر ابزارهایی چون حمایت شوروی، جامعۀ ملل، افکار عمومی و سیاست بِده‌بِستان وارد گفت‌وگوهای کلی با انگلستان شد که بیش‌از پنج سال به درازا کشید. این گفت‌وگوها به‌دلیل نرمش‌نداشتن دولت انگلستان دربرابر طرح‌های مختلف عبدالحسین تیمورتاش (نمایندۀ رضاشاه) برای حل این مسئله شکست خورد و درنهایت با گره‌خوردن این موضوع با مسئلۀ مذاکرات تجدیدنظر در قرارداد دارسی -که آن نیز برای ایران دستاوردی نداشت- موجب حذف تیمورتاش و حل‌نشدن مسئلۀ بحرین در این دوره شد. پرسش اصلی نوشتار حاضر بر این اساس استوار است که دولت ایران در دورۀ پهلوی اول مسئلۀ بحرین را چگونه صورت‌بندی کرده بود؟ آیا بحرین خود «مسئله» بود یا صرفاً به‌عنوان «ابزاری» برای کسب امتیاز از انگلستان به آن نگریسته می‌شد؟روش/ رویکرد پژوهش: نوشتار حاضر به‌روش تاریخی که مبتنی‌بر توصیف و تحلیل داده‌های تاریخی است با اتکا بر اسناد وزارت خارجۀ انگلستان درصدد تبیین این مسئله است.یافته‌ها و نتیجه‌گیری:  یافته های پژوهش نشان می دهد که با مقاومت شدید انگلستان در شناسایی حاکمیت ایران بر بحرین و هم‌چنین اقدامات انگلستان برای کسب امتیاز نفت (بازنگری در قرارداد دارسی)، درنهایت سیاست ایران به کسب امتیاز دربرابر واگذاری بحرین متمایل شد.}, keywords_fa = {بحرین,رضاشاه,انگلستان,تیمورتاش,خلیج فارس}, url = {https://ganjineh.nlai.ir/article_2667.html}, eprint = {https://ganjineh.nlai.ir/article_2667_327e41e8e992cba070bc08d5e2d05eee.pdf} }
